Glenn County
Glenn County is located in the Central Valley, in the northern part of California. The neighboring counties are Tehama to the north, Butte to the east, Lake and Mendocino to the west, and Colusa to the south. Glenn County was formed in 1891 from parts of Colusa County. It was named for Dr. Hugh J. Glenn, who was the largest wheat farmer in the state.
The county seat is the city of Willows.
The census report of 2000 stated there were 26,453 people, 9,172 households, and 6,732 families residing in the county.
